I’ve helped every service company on my resume become more valuable, an industry leader, growth oriented and customer focused.
2014 After serving on Acclaim’s Board of Directors for more than two years, I joined the senior management team to help grow the company’s comprehensive suite of services as strategic power specialists and help our valued clients seize emerging opportunities, such as selling power back to the electricity grid. With a first-mover advantage, our team of professionals has unparalleled industry experience and know how in developing unique comprehensive energy solutions that reduce total costs, mitigate risks and generate revenues.
2013 As CEO and a member of the Board of Directors, I led Guard 1 Services as the first in the industry to implement and continually evolve an electronic data-gathering and storage tool in the safety and security space of the onshore energy industry. Our mobile platform-based company was laser focused on integrated security solutions and gate guard services rooted in proprietary technologies.
2009 While leading Champion Energy Services as CEO & President and serving on the Board of Directors, the company grew from a small, relatively unknown retail electricity provider to one of the United States’ top 10 retail electric providers. Among many accomplishments on my watch, Champion Energy ranked as “Highest in Residential Customer Satisfaction with Retail Electric Services,” according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2010-2013 Texas Residential Retail Electric Provider Customer Satisfaction StudyTM, making it the first retail electricity provider in Texas to receive the award for four consecutive years.
2000 I co-founded and served as CEO & President and Chairman of the Board of NetVersant Solutions, a multi-location provider of network infrastructure solutions, and spearheaded the acquisition and integration of 20 companies in the converging world of voice, video and data. Our national footprint and enviable brand were backed by NetVersant’s total communications solutions for IT infrastructure, wireless/mobility, VoIP/telephony and electronic security.
1991 Shortly after joining Chas. P. Young Co. (CPY), I became President of Houston’s only full-service financial and fine color printer. Tied to strategic marketing, branding and sales initiatives, the company became the fastest-growing printing company in the United States. I was later appointed Executive Vice President of CPY’s parent company, publicly traded Consolidated Graphics, Inc. (NYSE: CGX), and was intricately involved in consolidating the highly fragmented printing industry and adding managerial and operational expertise to dozens of acquisitions.
1981 After graduating from the University of Texas, I joined Arthur Andersen & Co, passed the CPA exam and worked my way up the ranks over a 10-year period, serving most recently as Sr. Audit Manager.
