Ryk has served the energy industry for more than 25 years in various executive and technical capacities related to energy marketing, price risk management, project management and engineering.

His expertise and focus is on improving financial performance for clients by mitigating risks, improving energy marketing and purchasing, reducing costs and enabling new opportunities. Since 1997, as the principal of an energy risk management firm, and now for Acclaim (formerly LEGACY Energy Solutions), he has provided energy hedging, trading and business process optimization services to a wide variety of energy and industrial companies.

Ryk has co-authored several articles including "New Energy Efficiency Law for Healthcare Institutions: Effective September 1, 2007", published in the Houston Medical Journal (August 2007 issue); "Proactive energy management programs: Just what the doctor ordered", published in the Houston Medical Journal (December 2006 issue) ; "Higher energy prices mask bigger problem of energy price risk", published in the Houston Business Journal (October 6, 2006 issue); "Monitoring the Well," published in Oil & Gas Investor in the September 2004 issue; and "Business Process Re-Engineering for Independents," published in Energy Houston Volume 3, No 2 (2001). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. His healthcare-specific experience includes extensive work for CHRISTUS Health and Hospital Partner Association of America.
